Rob co-founded AssetBook in 2006 with Ken Park, AssetBook’s Senior Software Engineer. Prior to AssetBook, he served as a fintech consultant for several financial advisors and broker-dealers. His career took off in the late 1990s when he co-founded Techfi Corporation, and served as its V.P. of Sales and CMO. Rob attributes his success in serving financial advisors to focusing on client relationships, in order to gain an understanding of their specific needs.
Things about Rob:
- I think the number one aspect of my job that I enjoy the most is learning from the advisors that I speak to each day. These conversations have taught me more than any formal education.
- I was a Ski Instructor at Wisp Mountain in Maryland for 6 years during and after college. I think the experience helped to groom my personal and professional communication skills.
- I am a self-proclaimed “Foodie”, especially when it comes to Asian. I seek out the best Vietnamese and Korean (not necessarily expensive) restaurants everywhere I travel.
- I grew up a few minutes north of Pittsburgh, in the era of Steeler greats like Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris and Mean Joe Green. What a terrific time to be a kid growing up in the Burgh. I’ve remained a faithful fan, which was not easy while living in Texas and Colorado.
